1) Introduction:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the Help Guide for the Note Binder.
This guide discusses how this program functions and how it can be use to structure notes and even manage files. Although this can be used for file management of any file type it is designed more with note taking in mind.
NOTE: This is not a "Note Taking" application but a "Note Organizing" application meaning there is no built-in functionality for creating notes and this program is merely designed to organize notes. However, this program does have a management tool for application launching (check Section 3.2)

1.1) What does Note Binder Do?:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note Binder is a note organization program that has it's own application launcher to launch note taking applications (or at least some of them at the moment).
Each note is represented by a file that can be of almost any type (a document, an image, a text file, etc.)
The program is named NoteBinder because the program binds/organizes notes into Notebooks (which are directories) to organize the notes in place, more information on that in Section 2.

1.2) Why use this Application?:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While there are other applications that can also organize and take notes (such as Microsoft OneNote or Evernote), not every application itself supports organizing notes (such as Xournal++ or a regular text editor).
Using a proper file manager to organize these notes can also be more tedious as well to organize said notes, especially if there is a large amount of notes involved.
NoteBinder addresses these issues by making note organizing cleaner and allowing to organize notes from many different note types all at once. You can create a Xournal++ note and a text note in the same Notebook for instance and manage both types of notes at once.

2) Notebook Management:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The core feature of NoteBidner is an item called Notebooks (See Section 2.1). The program can create and manage these notebooks which contain notes/files and directories.
The NoteBinder also can manage the notes and subdirectories (See Section 2.2 and 2.3) within as well as the Notebooks containing them.
The main window of the program shows a list of opened notebooks and can be expanded and compressed to see/hide it's contents. The list also contains information about the Notebook size on disk and the location on the computer.
To modify the contents in the notebook list, highlight an item and click on the options that depend on highlighted item:
- Item Property
- Delete Item
- Move Item: Moves item in the notebooks to another area in the notebook list
- Copy Item: Copy item in the notebooks to another area in the notebook list
- Export Section (Sections only, check Section 2.2 on Sections)
- Open Section (Sections only)
- Close Notebook (Notebooks only)
There is also an option to Refresh the list of notebooks. If any new files were added to the Notebook.

2.1) Notebook:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notebooks are where the notes and directories go to be organized.
Notebooks are the root directory of these notes and subdirectories, as such Notebooks cannot contain themselves.
Each Notebook contains it's own properties that distinct it from a regular directory. Such as containing a Notebook Information file (notebook.noteb) which contains data about the Notebook.
One additional feature of Notebooks is picking a color theme for the notebook. Having multiple notebooks and giving each one a different color can help distinct the difference between notebooks (granted that can be seen through the name and location information as well).
The main window in the program shows a list of notebooks that are opened. When the application is closed the opened notebooks are saved to automatically open upon restart.
